Site Council

All schools have active site councils that are designed to advise and council their local schools. Site councils are composed of teachers, parents and community members, working together to improve education.

The purpose of the Cottonwood Site Council is to:

  1. Provide advice and counsel to the school in evaluating performance goals and objectives.
  2. Help determine methods, which could be used by the school to meet the goals and objectives.
  3. Serve as a liaison between the school, school organizations, the community, and the local board of education by collecting and disseminating information about school improvement.
  4. Provide other assistance that the school may request.

Throughout the year, the council will be reviewing assessment data, policies and curriculum. We will hear from district office personnel, food service personnel and Cottonwood teachers.

If you would like to participate in the Cottonwood Site Council, please contact Dr. Adler. Come learn more about Cottonwood. Together we can make a difference.

All are welcome to attend.
